So here's the message from Tristen that I recieved today:

when you get off the plane at heathrow and have collected your luggage etc make your way to the underground train station and catch the piccadilly line train to earls court.
once your at earls court you need to change to the district line. get the train to wimbledon and get off at the parsons green stop. ill meet you at the station, and we can walk to my house and drop off your bags.

So, lots of directions for 2 girls who have the worst sense of direction ever...ADVENTURE :)

I know staying with Jannica will be great, she is one of the most thoughtful individuals out there and I know she will make sure we will have the best time! She lives in Uppsula which is about 40 minutes from Stockholm. We'll be in Sweden from April 22-26 then off to Paris we go :)

After our stay in Amsterdam we are off to Sweden to visit Jannica! I am so excited to see her! We spent a few days together last August in NYC and had so much fun! Here are a few pics of our time there.

On April 20, 2011 (4/20...coincidence?) we will leave London and head to Amsterdam. We will stay here for 2 nights. What a picturesque city! We'll visit the Van Gogh Museum and Ann Frank's House, the Red Light District and plenty of cafes.

Europe 2011

Starting to post again for my upcoming Europe trip!

I am lucky enough to enjoy a 3 week trip to Europe this Spring. Nadia and I will be traveling to London, Amsterdam, Sweden and Paris for a total of 2 weeks then I will be meeting up with Ryan in Italy for 1 week.
Nadia and I have been saying we would go to Europe together since we met freshmen year of college and its finally coming true!

Nadia and I leave April 14th, (my birthday!) and will arrive in London on April 15th at 7:30 AM. I'm so excited because we will be staying with my dear friend Tristen Jones whom I met in Sydney, Australia. It has been almost 4 years since I have seen her last!

Tristen lives in South Kensington in a small flat with her boyfriend. It will be tight living for 4 nights but it will be great!

Thursday night (5/7) we started off at the Palms with free drinks. Then went to Moon which is also at the Palms because we were on some guest list. Another great view of the strip but kinda boring. Went back around 2 and played slots, ate and went to bed around 4am.

Friday morning we were able to get a late check out and then spent the day at the Monte Carlo pool. The pool was fun- wave pool, lazy river and then 2 regular pools. It was almost 100 degrees though so it was hard to stay outside long.

Drove that day ( friday 5/8) to Dana Point which is about 2o minutes from Laguna Beach. Stopped once for gas and was freaked out by some wierd-o asking for money. (Nadia couldn't even pee because I was freaking her out so much, haha.) Finally got to Dana Point and had dinner around 9:30-10:00 at the bar in the hotel, Vue.

Next, day was kind of cold and not sunny. We walked around Laguna and then went back to the hotel and spent some time in the hot tub. Nadia and I had Mamossa's but they weren't as good as the ones we had in San Diego.

That night we went to Huntington Beach for dinner and got a few drinks at a bar. I was so tired though and was ready to go home. We were able to get an extra late check-out...2 o'clock which was great and also scored free breakfast by the pool. Sunday was beautiful and we spent the day lounging by the pool while being served cold water and fruit :) Nadia drove us to the train station and then Jannica, Paloma and I took the train to Union Station in LA. From Union Station we took a short ride in a shuttle bus to the airport. We had the red-eye from LA- Boston. Worst flight everrrr... so uncomforable and hot. We got in at 7:10 AM and I was at work by 7:45 AM. Literally wanted to kill myself. Luckily, I was able to pass out for an hour while the kids were napping.

Over all a great vacation :) I'm happy I was able to see so much and do so much in only 10 days. However, as much as I loved San Diego, I think I am an east coast girl...I had some strange relief when I saw the New England styled homes as we flew into Logan and walking down K street to work in South Boston made me feel like I was at home.

Gas LampDistrict was lots of fun! We had dinner at The Yard House. Danced the rest of the night at Whiskey Girls. Next day Christine, Leslie and Vanessa left. Nadia, Alice, Jenny and Lauren went to La Jolla which was beautiful!! Walked through a cave that went down to cove in the water. Had lunch on a roof top restuarant with a great view. That night we had drinks and dinner at Long Board which is a Boston bar then dropped the others off at the airport. Tuesday Nadia and I got mani-pedis and did some shopping. Picked Jannica up at 1 at the airport then spent the afternoon at the pool. Went out to Pacific Beach Bar and Grill for Cinco De Mayo and met up with Nadias friends. Next day we got up earlier and drove 5 hours to Las Vegas. Stopped on the way and had lunch at a 50s diner, Peggy Sue. Finally arrived in Vegas and spent some time at the slot machines. Paloma came around 830 and we went to the Palms VIP. There was a rooftop bar with a glass floor so you could see 53 floors down. We met two English guys who invited us to meet up with them the next day at the Palms pool where they had a Cabanna. We had a free drinks and private server all afternoon. We had dinner in the New York casino at the ESPN Zone. Were getting ready now for free drinks at the Palms because we got on some VIP list. funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!

Last night we went to Typhoon at Pacific Beach. It was hilarious because we danced the whole night! We got late night Mc Donald's and Mexican burritos :)

This morning we had breakfast at Mimi's and then went to Ocean Beach. Nadia and Christine's friends Theresa and Danielle met up with us at the beach. We had more frozen yogart today and will probably gain 5 pounds from yogart by the time we leave:)

We're going to the Gas Light district tonight for dinner and then out :)

Today was our first day in San Diego! This morning we rented a car and drove to Pacific Beach. It was over cast but sun was still able to break through :) We had lunch, mimosas, margaritas and mai tais at The Wave. After lunch we laid out some more and then went shopping and had frozen yogart. Then we spent the rest of the afternoon in the hot tub and the pool at Nadia's complex. We're now getting ready for tacos and then out to the beach bars tonight!

I am leaving for California on April 30! I am so excited! I will be flying to San Diego to see Nadia along with all my UMass friends including Vanessa, Christine, Jenny, Kelli, Lesley, Alice and Lauren. After all the UMass girls leave I will continue my travels to Las Vegas, Laguna Beach and LA with my au' pair friend Jannica and Paloma.
